That is, unless you are a member of our Armed Services or the family member of one of our nation?s great patriots. The uniform may vary but the heart that beats within is surprisingly similar, generation after generation. You see, freedom is a gift we don?t really have to think much about until it is challenged or until we witness life for people from whom the gift has been stolen. Then, we begin to realize that there is a price for this most precious of gifts, a price that an extraordinary few are willing to pay and, without much thinking, give selflessly of themselves or their loved ones with a commitment and a valor most can not comprehend. For some the price paid is as precious as the freedom they defend.
