There are days in a life that are certainly celebrated in heaven, a day like this when one life, embraced by the love of many, is welcomed into God?s family, the church, the community, and the world. Your spiritual journey begins in baptism with a dedication to faith, bathed by waters of salvation from which you enter into newness of life on this, your spiritual birthday. Today we join in a holy celebration where you are made one with the whole people of God, emerging covered with His grace, and christened with your own identity as one of God?s children. He has prepared a pathway on which you will take your first footsteps in faith, blessed by the Church, guided by the Spirit, and sanctified with God?s precious gifts of faith, hope, and love.
